When students are allowed to take an active part in their learning, they begin to show ownership of their education thus enhancing motivation and success.
One way to be active in their learning is to allow them to sit where they feel they would be most productive. Desks are old-fashioned, bulky and create rigid seating for students, hindering creativity and work flow. With different seating options, students can decide how and where they want to learn. This sets them up for success in the classroom and beyond. Providing these different seating options for students will raise productivity and a help shape a community of learners in our classroom.
