Although I do have a Science and exploration center in my classroom, most of the materials in each are outdated. Children learn best through exploration and hands on activities. With the materials I am asking for, my preschoolers will have many opportunities to learn about their environment through exploration and imagination. With the water/sand table I will be able to switch out materials such as sand, rice, seashells, rocks, plastic fish, etc. periodically, to allow for a variety in learning and exploration. The microscope will allow my students to explore many items from their environment from a different and unique perspective.
