Our school is unique for our area in the fact that we offer SEL courses to ALL of our students. SEL stands for social and emotional learning, a program that allows our students to learn skills and practices that help with their social and emotional well being. Among our weekly practices is a lesson called "Community Circle." In Circle, we provide an equal platform for all students to open up and discuss a variety of topics focused on the students experience. The Yoga Mats requested are intended to provide an EQUAL environment for our community circle. Every student will choose a mat and that way we can all feel comfortable and accessible in our conversation.
