With only two years of teaching under my belt, I have yet to provide my students with engaging activities for rainy day recesses.
I would love to see my students pull these games out on rainy days and play with each other in ways that they do not normally get the chance to do. I would love to use some of the games (like Guess Who) during instruction! It can be used to describe physical traits and even character traits! These games would be great with ELs who are still developing their language (and social) skills.
Newly implemented quarterly rewards, will have a "Fun Friday" vibe for these upper elementary kids. Whether it is on a rainy day, a reward day, or to enhance lessons, these games would help get the students working with each other and socializing in this modern video-gaming world.
