Kindergarten is a milestone for children's literacy development. Throughout the course of the year, one of the goals for kindergartners is to fall in love with reading and develop a reading identity! With the use of a new organized library cart, students will have access to new leveled books that are on their independent reading level! The color-coded stickers will make is simple for students to recognize books that are "just right" for them. The stickers will also help students to learn responsibility in taking care of books and ensuring the classroom library stays organized for their peers' enjoyment, as well as easily accessible for little hands. In order to foster a lifelong love of reading, students also need access to books at home in addition to the classroom. The plastic portfolio folders will be used to help children transport their books home to share with their family. Thanks to your generous donation students will be eager to bring home new books to share with their family as well as promote their lifelong love for reading!
