Scholastic News and Science Spin are an amazing resource for kids to get their hands onto. Each child receive one magazine per month that contains topics and news relevant to that time of year. For example, in the month of November, they may be learning about Thanksgiving and how they compare and contrast to the pilgrims. In April, they may be learning about what flowers need to grow and how they help our world. Not only do these magazines help them grow their schema about certain topics, but the articles are age appropriate and written at a level to enhance their reading skills. In addition to the magazines, teachers are provided with a password that allows them to have access to the online resources and digital tools.
