Children with special needs succeed in the classroom in many different ways. One of the many strategies to help them succeed is through the use of visual supports. Providing them visual supports that can get their attention makes a lot of difference in their school life. It would be so wonderful and helpful if my class could have a colored printer to use for printing out colorful visuals to support them in class. In addition to this, visuals are also used as a form of communication. My students use different kinds of visual representations to relate to peers and adults. Through this project, I will be able to create more engaging visual supports for my students. Creating more opportunities for my students to communicate with their peers as well as the adults in their environment.
