For my children, instruction is the most effective for them when it is stimulating, interactive, and enjoyable. Games are a terrific way to do this. My students' communication and social skills must be developed throughout the day. Playing games, like, count and link; build a word and tower of sight words, in a small group setting, allows me the opportunity to maximize instructional time and still meet their varied needs. I believe all children can learn and reach incredible milestones with a little extra support. The materials from this project, the geoboards, pattern blocks, and design cards will enable me to better address their academic, communication, creative and social skills in a fun and interactive way. Fun and games are part of the things that children need to succeed and foster amazing possibilities.
