My classroom has had the same dilapidated furniture for over 20 years. The tables have old carved drawings, graffiti, and broken legs. It’s tough to take notes when the tables are slanted or falling apart; it’s the same for the chairs. Acquiring new furniture would enable students to be engaged in a learning environment that is inviting, safe, and conducive to their education. My desire is to get my kids excited to learn and ready to participate when they walk into my class with nice, new furniture. By donating you will help my students feel at home and appreciated. They will be able to use the tables to write on with dry-erase markers because being engaged and having fun in class get dendrites sparking.
