Hands on exploration is the best way for young learners to grow! Many of the students in my classroom do not have the resources at home to explore and learn how things work together. The items I am requesting will give them these experiences. Theses science and STEM items will be included in our Science Center and will be part of our Play to Learn activities each day. The students in my class will have daily opportunities to experiment, make a hypothesis, test their ideas, solve problems, and learn about the world. Looking like a scientist, and using real science tools, will help foster an interest in future science academic opportunities and careers. The students will work to fill test tubes with liquids, compare weights and capacities of objects, and see items up close with the microscope. With the STEM activities, the students will integrate science, technology, engineering and math skills while improving their peer interactions as they solve challenges together. Through these investigations, my students will develop knowledge, communication skills, and a love of science. Thank you for fostering a love of learning and exploration for my kindergarten students!
