COVID-19 has taken a toll on us all, including my students! I want to get them excited about learning again! School should be a place for students to feel proud, motivated and successful. I think these robots will do the trick of igniting passion in these students.
It is so important for students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. These skills are not just used during a math lesson, they also relate to social and emotional learning. I've seen the need for this so much this year. I feel that using these robots would be a great opportunity for my students to practice these skills while rekindling a passion for learning and exploration.
The next things on my list are headphones. My students desperately need a set of reliable headphones. When headphones break, it disrupts a student's learning. In addition, it makes it harder for others to work on their centers when headphones aren't used. These headphones would be so helpful in creating a successful environment for all.
