These early years are so important! Language acquisition, number sense, curiosity about the world around them and learning how to get along are all acquired during these years. Covid-19 disrupted this process. Centers are a good way to help foster cooperation and build a community of active learners!
The Teaching Cart will be used as a center where children can come and explore many different ways to interact with language. On one side, children can use the upright white board to practice letter, word and sentence writing. They can use the magnetic letters to build words and sentences. Working in pairs, they learn to cooperate and help each other. On the other side, they can use the pocket chart for shared reading experiences with poems and rhymes.
