The materials I am requesting will allow my first grade mathematicians to share their smart thinking quickly and for all to see. This will allow students not only the opportunity to share but also to learn from others and their thought processes when working through a variety of math problems throughout the school year.
The table and markers will be used on a daily basis and while math is the primary focus of having this table, it will also be used throughout the school day for reading and writing activities. Students will love being able to write their thinking on the table.
