These materials will help students when learning about time. The small clocks that we use currently do it have gears and students have to move both the hour and minute hands, which is very difficult. The clocks are also more than twenty years old and often the hands pop off when students are trying to use them. I'm requesting new student gear clocks. Because these clocks have gears, students will be able to move the minute hand only and the hour hand will follow suit, more accurately portraying the times. Also, because these clocks can be used using only one finger, all students, including our special needs friends will be better able to use them. The iPad will be used to allow students to do quick assessments and demonstrate their learning. The tablet will allow for more adaptive learning for our special needs friends included in our classroom.
