This year helping students grow as readers! Increasing fluency and reading comprehension along with phonics and phonemic awareness will be the focus this year! My students will sit at the kidney shaped table in groups of 3 or 4. We will read together, and focus on retaining the facts of the stories and the sequence of events. The wobbly stools will help those students that have difficulty focusing. As the students progress through their leveled readers they will begin to explore books in our classroom library. They will have dedicated time to read to self as well as partner read and answer questions about what they read.

About my class
