Writing is an important part of our daily learning. Every day students come in and start putting their ideas on paper. Students need writing paper, journals, pencil, pens and erasers. When it comes to writing projects they need the materials necessary for their group projects, such as colors, markers, drawing paper, rulers, scissors, glue, chart paper. At the end of class they store their journals in baskets to keep them organized.
Great students deserve to have great experiences in the classroom and to be able to provide that for my students I want to make sure that they also have the supplies needed to encourage their creativity and be successful in the classroom.
Some students are not able to buy all the supplies required and I do not want my students to feel stressed or singled out because they could not afford to buy a journal or pencil. I want them to focus o what's important and I want to be able to say to them "Don't worry. I have what you need. Let's have a great year"
