If my project is fully funded my students will have access to a sensory room with the supplies necessary to meet their sensory needs. The majority of my students are on the autism spectrum and struggle with environmental conditions such as noise and other stimuli. This room will allow my students to recenter and seek out sensory output in a safe and appropriate way. Equipment for the room can include but are not limited to walking stones, beads, trampoline, tactile walls(different surfaces) and swings. The room will add in decreasing sensory meltdowns which impact the student's ability to learn, socialize and achieve their individualized goals.
