These genuine owl pellets and teacher/student materials will provide a meaningful, hands-on scientific learning experience for my school's amazing 4th grade scientists.
Students will discover for themselves true examples of food chain relationships in birds of prey, and this research experience will apply to better understanding the predator/prey relationship of all living things. Students will learn about animal anatomy and adaptations by reconstructing the small animal skeletons found within the owl pellets.
The classroom resources that accompany this lab will provide an additional learning experience for my other K-3 students who also learn and work in our Science Lab for years to come.
