I have been teaching Kindergarten in an elementary school filled with a diverse student population from all over the world. The student population is 100% poverty and speak over 13 different languages. Our children face difficulties in the classroom due to lack of English as well as poverty at home. Our teachers and students are commonly working with items that are old, broken and out of date.
