As the music teacher I teach all the students at my school. In my class students love when they get to play the larger instruments, for example the xylophones and tubano drums. Sadly, I only have one of each, so they end up being my primary instructional tools. In a thirty-minute class most students do not get the opportunity to practice the material or gain the needed playing skills.
With your help these instruments will reach all the students at my school (Kindergarten – fifth grade) and will allow for increased explorative and collaborative learning. Students will have the opportunity to share and play in each class, developing grade level playing skills so I can do accurate assessments. The xylophone, liquid floor tiles, and egg shakers would help our class be an explorative place for learning and sharing!
