My self contained classroom students need to work independently at their own pace. They rely on their individual schedules and will benefit from the digital timers to help them ease the transitions from one content area to another. When students have worked on a skill for a certain amount of time, the timers will notify them that it is time to move on to the next lesson. This will also help ease student anxiety and stress.
The high interest fiction books will provide many different lessons integrating the reading and language arts skills and standards. My students need access to more books!!
