In my classroom I do not have access to a document camera, so it will be challenging to allow students to showcase their work quickly and spontaneously.
This document camera will allow students to quickly come to the front of the room, present their findings on the document camera, and then return to their seat in a timely manner. Without the document camera, I will have to resort to other means that may require more time and greater planning, which is already sparse in a 50 minute class period. The ability to allow students to present their individual work and have their classmates see it instantaneously will also reinforce the idea that everyone's ideas are important and valued and that their individual, creative thinking is worth sharing.
