We have been asked to close the achievement gap through Response to Intervention. RTI involves applying a number of instructional strategies in the classroom including interactives notebooks (to help the students process the information), music, art and several types of reading activities. The materials will help them analyze their work in color, enhance their presentations and make their notebooks more meaningful. I plan to integrate technology into my classes. Along with interactive notebooks, blogs and online quizzes to prepare them better for college and/or a transition into the real world. It is my hope to prepare them for what they will see after my class.
