Being in a Title school is challenging. We have a large number of Pre-k, kindergarten and 1st-grade students who sometimes have bowel or urine accidents. Rarely do they have a change of clothing in their backpacks. These students are sent to me to get cleaned up.
My goal is to get them back to class as quickly as I can. If I don't have clothing for them to change into, I have to call parents to bring them a change of clothes. This causes the parents to have to leave work and keeps the students out of the classroom for long periods of time. If they are in my health room, they aren't learning! If I have clothing to change them into, they can quickly get back to class.
