The materials I am requesting will infuse our classroom with curiosity, fun, discovery, and play. Research shows that through play children gain valuable social, emotional, physical, cognitive, creative, and communication skills. My goal is to enhance our math and literacy rotations, as well as our choice time, with toys and games that students will love to play. Every day, the kindergarteners will play with these toys as a part of their instructional time. They will learn how to share, how to negotiate with one another, and how to make decisions. They will also develop crucial counting and number-sense skills, fine motor skills, and stamina. I am a first-year teacher and I want to fill our classroom learning space with as many enriching activities as possible. Thank you for investing in the amazing kindergarteners and the rich benefits of play!
