In this project I requested several office supplies. This will cut down the time being taken away from my plan time. I am 4'11" and can't afford a chair that will allow me to be able to sit comfortably with my feet on the ground and sitting straight. It causes discomfort. I don't sit during school hours, not even teaching during this past summer school. After the bell has rung and all the children are safely out of the school, it would be nice to sit and grade papers so that I will not have to bring all the work home, cutting into my family and self care time.
Lamination, presentation pointer and printing done in the classroom allows me to be more efficient by walking around monitoring, ensuring each of my students are all on task.
My school currently holds pre-k through fifth grade students. Our teachers can hold up to about twenty-five students in a class. We only have one printer that prints color on the other side of the building in the library. Scholars need to see an actual photo in color to be able to relate it with real life situations. An example would be first grade has colors on the wall; imagine the color red. Picture a nice, juicy, red, shiny apple that is actually red copied and laminated right from the classroom. Policies and procedures are a huge part of class culture and it continues through college and even as a law biding citizen.
So today, I am stepping out of my comfort zone asking for everything that can make my classroom a community of future professionals. Will you help me make our classroom great and assist in getting these young scholars ready for a world that is willing to accept them?
