Help us start off on the right note! My project looks to expand the general music program at my school which has been closed since last school year, due to the absence of a music teacher. Many of the instruments left behind are broken or worn. Because I see and teach a wide range of grade levels each day, I need a drum and rhythm instruments that will allow me to teach students the foundations of beat, rhythm, and timing.
By starting a percussive ensemble, students will feel successful at making music! I can encourage them and develop their abilities to grow as musicians. I want students to develop their performance skills and build their ability to collaborate, compose, record and perform their own original music.
