These materials will be used to create literacy learning centers in my Special Education resource room. These centers will enable my students to practice the skills they need to become confident, self-directed learners.
My students love having the opportunity to showcase what they can do. These learning centers will enable me to give them multiple opportunities to practice their literacy skills in ways that are fun and meaningful. Tactile learning is very important for students who have difficulty with phonological awareness, which is why I want to design these centers around activities that will excite and engage them.
