The materials I have selected will help my students be more successful this year. Some of my students are learning from home and some are face-to-face in my classroom. My virtual students Zoom in to class and need to see the screen I share on my computer. My face-to-face students often need to see a different screen projected on the board in my classroom. Having an additional monitor would allow me to accommodate both groups of students at the same time. The books I have chosen will be added to my classroom library and give my students access to more books by African American authors. Representation is important and all of my kids need to have access to books for, by, and about people who look like them. My classroom library desperately needs more books by African American authors.
