Pre-K students are tactile learners; therefore, the best learning outcomes are derived from manipulating objects with their hands. Students will use the products to meet the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines in Science by learning about their five senses with the mystery tubes, experimenting with force and motion using the ramps, and describing properties of objects using the specimen viewers. The exploration of the hands-on materials will velcro meaningful experiences to scientific terminology. When learning experiences are meaningful, retention of the learning increases. Help me engage these little scientists with developmentally appropriate hands-on science materials for a science center in which students can self explore and share their experiences with their peers!
