My goal for using flexible seating in my classroom is to encourage my students to become more responsible and take charge of their learning. I have noticed that when students are learning in a comfortable environment they take pride in their education. My goal is to create an environment, using flexible seating and providing options, which communicate to students that I think they are worth it.
My students are more engaged and less disruptive to their peers when they are given the choice of where they want to work. I am excited to see how this will positively impact them.
