My students are in need of book at their reading level. The majority are coming into first grade below where they need to be. These books will help them to become successful readers because they will be at their level. What that means is the words will be easier to read, they will have basic sight words to learn, and the story line is not complex. They will be able to build their fluency, decoding skills, and comprehension. These books will be used in small guided reading groups with me so that I can support students as they learn to read through decoding and comprehension.

About my class
