I teach in a low income school where 90% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My class room consists of 3, 4, and 5 year olds with special needs as well as 2-4 role models. It is apparent that these students' home lives are not what most would call typical and it has negatively impacted their development. I try to provide them with rich, inspiring, developmentally appropriate experiences in a positive caring environment.
