My students have a unique experience in their school and neighborhood. As one of the most diverse schools and within a population across racial, cultural, and socio-economics, I strive to make Art Class a place where we can share the experiences that give us commonality, as well as the beautiful tapestry of our differences.
Photography is one of the ways in which students can document the everyday occurrences that tie us within the human family, while also giving voice to what makes them beautifully unique through a lens and an experience all their own.
These photographic supplies, a photo printer and paper, will lend themselves to the goal of giving kids who can feel intimidated to create and share a chance to show the world what they see, value, and experience.
