Purchasing a new alto xylophone and new percussion instruments for our students will give them more opportunities to engage in playing music. In order for them to really understand everything we learn in class about rhythms and notes on the staff, they need an instrument in their hand. It will also help me make the most of the 30 minutes I have with the students by having more instruments to go around. It will cut down on having to repeat songs several times until everyone gets a turn. I’m really looking forward to this new school year, and I know the kids would be so excited to see some NEW instruments in the music room!
