I plan to use these items to help create engaging and inviting centers in my inclusion classroom. I will allow the students to have flexible seating with the furniture on the list like the bouncing balls, portable recliners, and the writing tables. With flexible seating, the students are able to decide what spot they would like to sit in during rotation. Flexible seating makes the students more comfortable and more focused. It also motivates students to learn.
I will also create and maintain center activities that target the special needs of my classroom and its unique learners. The students will be able to use these materials to enhance many areas of their educational day. The magnetic letters will be used so that students can build words. The buzzers will be used for educational games that we play in the classroom as a motivational tool to learn. The sand timers will be used for the fluency center. The students will use these timers to time themselves while reading a passage. The erase pockets will be used during small group so that they can place their assignment in the pocket and write and erase and use it again and again. With the clipboards, students are able to move around the classroom during small group with their assignment and be able to write while standing All of these items will help them reach their full academic potential.
