My students' ages range from 4-6 years old. Kindergartners learn by exploring their environments. They must touch and feel in order to understand new ideas. Tactile learning is a wonderfully opportunity for the kids! It makes learning concrete and fun! These materials will be used for the students to learn about the five senses, problem solving, and measurement. We will use these materials during science, math, and for STEM projects. We will learn about weight and capacity as we use materials in measuring cups and bowls. We will practice fine motor skills by using tweezers to sort and stack these materials. The students will also get a chance to use these materials during free exploration time. This when the students can discover new ways to use the materials.
