Piedmont is a 1 to 1 school, which means each student is provided a Chromebook to use during the school day. The problem I have come up against is a need to have available Chromebooks for those students whose Chromebooks are broken or otherwise cannot have access to it. My goal in my classroom is to use dynamic and engaging digital programs to reach students on their level. For example, I teach vocabulary using an online game that has students team up and create images and sentences utilizing the definition. If students do not have the technology they are limited in their ability to engage with the material. While I have two desktops in my room, they are unreliable, outdated, and do not work. My hope is to use these two Chromebooks to replace these old desktops.
