In first grade, we often work in small groups to target math and literacy. My students participate in 20-30 minute rotations each day. It is hard for first grade students to stay motivated and engaged during their rotations, but the requested lap weights, pillows and fidgets will help the students stay focused during these rotations. It will also allow the students to move about the room in order to complete their work in a comfortable setting. The seat pockets will help these young scholars stay organized throughout the day. They will be able to keep all of their materials at their seats which will decrease the amount of time it takes transitioning to get their materials
