Mother Theresa wrote: "If you can't feed one hundred people, then feed just one." I would love to feed all my students always but will be happy to touch a few. When the stomach is churning in hunger, the mind refuses to focus on learning. I want to provide snacks (popcorn, chips, Nature Valley bars) for my children when the mid-afternoon hunger kicks in. I would like to offer the granola bars, chips, and healthy snacks from this project to make the playing field even for all our students. Having students not reaching their learning goals because they are hungry is unthinkable. The resources from this project will make it possible for my students to stay ready to learn and to meet every learning goals and beyond.
