The items selected in my project list make a significant difference in any classroom and especially my classroom. Having a carpet, like the one I chose, gives my students the ability to move around and have different work-space environments. It also encourages student interaction when learning, which helps develop their social skills and that is crucial in our everyday lives. The set of books that teachers my students how to act and treat one another will also help improve those social skills.
How is a student going to get better at reading if they don't have an outstanding library to go to? The library in my project not only gives me the flexibility to move it around easier, but can handle a humungous amount of books to help improve their reading. It can give them the different choices to pick from, but also allows me to group and organize books by the different reading levels so my students know which bin to go to and pick from. The book bins are there to put my books into and categorize them by their reading levels.
The bingo games are what brings both fun and learning together in my classroom. At the first grade level, bingo games are the perfect age-appropriate game that they enjoy playing and these games also provide the opportunity to learn too.
