The requested materials will be used to help promote calming strategies that students can learn to utilize during times of stress. The goal is to teach my students ways to calm themselves when they are feeling sad, angry or overwhelmed. I will use our projector in my office to stream meditation videos, calming music and yoga poses. The social skills books will be used as part of my weekly lessons and also for my students to read independently if they choose. The bean bag chair and sensory tools will be available in my "calm down" corner for students in need of a break during the school day.
