My project to acquire #ProjectLIT titles for book clubs will spread throughout our school! 6th, 7th & 8th grade teachers will work with small groups who collectively read & talk about these books. Imagine a group of students in small groups discussing how details in their (shared) book connected with their lives! Questioning, wondering, predicting, forming theories & opinions.
These books won't sit on a shelf, they will travel from teacher to teacher, from classroom to classroom, to library, to after school book-club meetings, lunch-time book clubs, even to staff book clubs!
These materials will travel & live in our school community as a literary buoy in a neighborhood without book stores. Book deserts can be overcome with quality books that connect with readers!
