This picture is of our fantastic Kindergarten Team! We were having a little fun during Read Across America. The kids in my school all receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my kindergarteners do not go to preschool or daycare. When they step into my classroom in September, they are truly entering school for the very first time. These spunky 4 & 5 year olds learn quickly what school is all about. In no time they are walking in line, raising their hands, learning their letters, numbers, and how to write their names. Most importantly, they are learning how to make friends and get along with their classmates. Cooperative learning is a major key to success in the real world. We focus a lot of energy on teaching our children to take turns, problem solve, and respectfully disagree with each other. We are so proud of our little ones and the path that they are traveling to become life long learners!!!
