I am a first year teacher that walked into a classroom with few books. The books that were there were out dated and not fun to read. The library was contained to one small bookcase that had been shoved in the corner of the room. I have moved the bookcase to the front and added colorful bins that are now waiting to be filled! I want to give my students a love of reading. I hope that with the funding of this project my students will love the books I picked as much as I did as a student. I also chose some cushions for them to be able to comfortably sit on the floor. My students will love grabbing a cushion and a good book during reading time.

About my class
