As a teacher of all subjects, nonfiction reading is the hardest to get interested in. Having Time for Kids in the classroom will provide students a weekly up-to-date, highly interesting medium, that is different than what they are use to.
In our world everything is going digital and sometimes the need for print is important. We have access to iPads in the classroom and could easily learn everything on them. However, I feel that as 3rd graders we need a creative balance of both print and digital content. We will be able to establish that with the magazines in a way that will be engaging and motivating for the students!
