Our Media Center is constantly busy with children from Kindergarten through Sixth grade entering daily to learn, check out books and discover what choices are waiting to be explored in our Magical Maker Space Zone. Transitions and Lessons for many students can be a challenge when the "magic" is not present to keep them focused on the directions to follow.
Our children eagerly check out books knowing they earn time in our Magical Maker Space Zone. This magical place also provides a safe place for students to reset and refocus to return to their classrooms. As a teacher librarian, I can "always" use this magnetic magical place for students to positively choose to learn eagerly during our lessons. I "always" have fewer behavior issues due to choices to learn in our media center.
A set of OSMO Genius Kits would be useful for engaging our children to review academic skills, especially with our exceptionally challenged students. This young generation is challenged to become tech savvy and using iPad kits that reinforce learning are simply valuable.
