I have "sit spots" that are put onto the carpet for organized seating. The carpets will be used when sitting for lessons, doing yoga, engaging in movement activities, dancing, brain breaks, calendar time, playtime with peers, engaging in partner work, occupational therapy, laying down to read books, and many other things throughout the year. The carpets will give the special education students comfort and safety while performing such activities. We try to engage our children by gathering them as a group rather than having them sit at their desks, in their seats. We have a variety of flexible seating that can be used in conjunction with the carpets.
