Along with daily academics, my students express their writing and storytelling in a variety of creative ways. This includes using Playdough, connecting blocks, popsicle sticks, craft materials, and much more to enhance their stories and writing projects. My students like to do more than draw when they are writing.
Currently these items are stored out of reach of my students because the cabinets in my classroom are higher than they can reach and I do not have a step stool tall enough. I strive to teach my students how to be independent problem solvers and help themselves when they need something. This storage unit will be for easy storage of these creative materials so my students can access them whenever they need and I can continue instruction with other groups.
