This school year, I plan to reach students closer to their classroom since the clinic will be used for children who may be awaiting parents to go home due to COVID-19 symptoms. Since we live in a high COVID-19 county, our district has had to adjust the way we use the nursing clinic. It is my hope to have a mobile clinic so that I can see children near their classroom with "routine rounds". This can allow students to stay in their class longer.
As a campus, we are also preparing to make as much "clinic" tools available to teachers so that students will not be exposed to sick children in the clinic. Teachers will have thier own calamine bottles, ST37 containers, band-aids etc. We have one teacher who has a latex allergy and I wanted to make sure I had the right band-aids for her class.
